Temporary Overnight Closures – A46, A422 and Wildmoor Roundabout 25.02.2026 – 27.02.2026

We have been advised by the Montel Civil Engineering Team that as part of the ongoing improvement works in the area. They have provided advance notice of essential overnight closures on the A46, A422 and Wildmoor Roundabout.  These works are scheduled to take place over three nights, from Wednesday 25th February 2026 to Friday 27th February 2026.
The closures will be in place between 20:00 and 06:00 each night. No through access will be permitted during these times*
*For residents and businesses located along the section of road that will be closed (identified by the red line on the map), the diversion route will change as works progress:
• Wednesday 25th February – Local traffic exiting from the section of road that will be closed will be directed eastbound only. Vehicles will be permitted through the Wildmoor Roundabout closure to join the A46 eastbound towards Bishopton Roundabout.
• Thursday 26th & Friday 27th February – Local traffic exiting from the section of road that will be closed will be directed westbound only. Vehicles will be permitted through the closure to join the A46 westbound towards Billesley Crossroads.
The works being carried out include:
• Installation of drainage pipes and communications ducting (Openreach) across the A46 at multiple locations
• Removal of existing lighting columns on Wildmoor Roundabout in preparation for the installation of new columns
These works have been scheduled during the quietest period to minimise disruption to residents and road users. However, some noise will be unavoidable during the operations and they sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
