Notice of planned works.
Published: 19 January 2026
Warwickshire County Council are soon to upgrade the dual pedestrian crossing at Evesham Place/Rother Street, Stratford upon Avon. These works will be carried out under temporary traffic signals. The road will not be closed.
The refurbishment works are necessary as the existing traffic signal equipment is approaching the end of its’ serviceable life; the works will include the replacement of all traffic signal equipment including the controller cabinet, traffic signal poles, electrical cables and traffic signal heads and aspects.
The installation of the new traffic signal equipment will bring environmental benefits with reduced ongoing energy and maintenance costs and will also allow the engineers to remotely monitor the crossing more effectively for operational faults.
The works will commence on Monday 26th January and should be completed no later than Friday 30th January.
