Local Government Reorganisation

The Government has recently announced that its Local Government Reorganisation programme will be reviewed following updated legal advice. Warwickshire is one of 14 areas where the proposals have been paused while the Government considers whether the process is legally robust and aligned with its wider priorities.

The Government has also confirmed that the local elections scheduled for May 2027 will proceed on the existing council boundaries.

The Town Council will continue to monitor developments and consider the implications for the Town Council and the wider local government landscape as further information becomes available.
