The Government has now launched the consultation to invite residents, businesses and key stakeholders, to have their say as part of the consultation on what Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) should look like in Warwickshire . The easiest way to take part is to provide your feedback through the online survey . The consultation is open from now until Thursday 26 March 2026.

The proposals could bring significant changes to how councils operate in our area. Currently, Warwickshire has a three-tier structure – Town, District and County Councils – which is expected to be replaced with one or more unitary authorities.

These changes are anticipated to take effect from April 2028.
